Windows Explorer

Use the Windows Explorer is easy. Follow these steps.

  • First, Go to the folder that files included. Then select all.
  • Go to the Home tab on the top ribbon and click the ‘Rename’ button. Or you can use the shortcut key ‘F2’.

Massive File Renamer is a third-party tool and also is available for Windows, Linux, and macOS. I tried a couple of tools for rename multiple files, and the most comfortable tool of them is Massive File Renamer. Because most of them are powerful, but it seems hard. You can download Massive File Renamer by this link.

Bulk Rename Utility

Bulk Rename Utility has a terrible user interface. Because it provides various options to do the job, from using replace the pane, you can replace a selected word to multiple files. Using the ‘Add’ dashboard, you can add prefix and suffix to multiple files. Not that all. This has more advanced features. You can download the Bulk Rename Utility from this link.
